So I've discovered this totally awesome place in Sunninghill...They called Krush Culture...all their designs are locally manufactured...check them out on www.krushculture.com or find them on facebook "KRUSH CULTURE"...you will thank me one day
Im inlove...Paul Smith is just sensational...

Another Legend...*Gil Scott Heron*

I grew up listening to this man's music...His just a representation of a strong, black man. Previously part of the Black Panther, he is a poet, author and a musician...check him out...his influenced the likes of Common, Kanye West and Talib Kwali...

For a good cause

So basically in 2009 I came up with this idea to raise awareness for street kids, however thanks to time constraints, complacency and lack of focus it remained an idea...but now its coming alive again...basically the idea is to have an exhibition that going to raise awareness to the situation street kids find themselves in cause I mean they are the most susceptible to poverty, abuse, prostitution and drugs but nothing is being done...the aim of this project is to create awareness not to raise funds as per say, evoke some sorta emotion in society...but most importantly people need to understand that its not just about giving money, when it comes to children its time and effort that matters most...what I actually need help with is ways to fund this project, if you have any ideas hit me up on ma facebook profile page...IMAN LAFOI...thanks

Alil something about joy and sorrow

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.
And how else can it be?
The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can obtain.
Is not the cup that holds your wine the very cup that was burned into the potter's oven?
And is not the lute that soothes your spirit the very wood that was hollowed with knives?
When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.
When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

The fashion is colourful, vibrant and ever so hip...it needs no introduction, with its unique style its established itself as a fashion capital, well in my eyes. The street style is insane.

GHUBULUZING

So this concept of Ghubulizing really grinds my gears,is as I say pure concentrated bullshit.... Sbu has his own line of clothing, hahaahaha *shoo* hahaahaa, he shouldn't even be allowed to dress himself!!! *puzzled face*. Most of his suits are made of tinfoil and look like they've been spray painted and left to dry in the sun, no man, yet somehow he won GQ's best dressed...its almost amazing...those T-shirts are so bland, they almost ugly... I'd rather spend my money buying sweets!!. ...when will our John Wayne of fashion come and save us...??

Alil Something about love

When love beckons you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield him,
Though the hidden sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays the garden.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses you tenderness that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in clinging to the earth.
Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He shifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his fire that you may become sacred bread for God's sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.

Khalil Gibran

These two ladies personify street style…Kate is always uberchic and Agnes is just Agnes (I really don’t have an adjective for this woman)

Kate Moss

These two women inspire me in there words and music respectively. Both have achieved so much, although Nina faced the most obstacles she still became a women of wisdom...strong and beautiful women...I ♥ them.

Several hip hop musicians and other modern artists sample and remix Simone's rhythms and beats on their tracks.
